I am Victor, an FAA Private Pilot with a deep passion for aviation that extends far beyond the cockpit. My day job is as a data scientist at a major technology company in Singapore, where I use AI to build consumer products. Learning to fly and earning my pilot's license has been one of the most challenging and rewarding pursuits I've taken on since completing my doctoral studies years ago. What truly motivates me is that pure joy I experience every time I'm airborne—the feeling of freedom and perspective in the sky. Like many other kids, I loved watching airplanes fly overhead since I was young. Now, I own a Diamond DA 40 NG aircraft, which I fly for leisure and where I continue to develop my flying skills. My true calling lies at the intersection of these worlds: I want to be an AI builder, creating innovative tools that transform how aviators experience and document their journeys through the skies.

FlightPlus is my answer to a problem I've encountered time and again during my own flights. As someone who loves photography and captures countless moments during my trips and flights, I've always been captivated by the breathtaking views from above—the way buildings, landmarks, mountains, and rivers unfold beneath the wings. There's something magical about that perspective, about looking down and seeing the world from a completely different angle. I wanted to capture these moments, to preserve them, and to understand what I was seeing.

Yet, despite my passion for both flying and photography, I found that no existing tool could help me organize photos from flight trips, identify the interesting landmarks in my aerial shots, or tell me where I was flying through at any given moment. The tools available were either too generic or didn't understand the unique context of aviation. That gap between what I needed and what existed became the inspiration for FlightPlus.

My vision for FlightPlus is to enrich the flight journey for aviators—not just to help with the technical aspects of flying, but to enhance the experience of enjoying the beautiful scenery from the sky. I believe that every flight tells a story, and every aerial photo captures a moment that deserves to be understood, organized, and shared. FlightPlus is designed as an AI companion app for pilots and frequent flyers, helping you discover landmarks, organize your aerial memories, and share your journey with fellow aviation enthusiasts.
